A. Reg´Activ® IMMUNE & VITALITY™ provides a unique probiotic strain (Lactobacillus fermentum ME-3) that conveys antioxidant support to immune system cells. The probiotic strain ME-3 has been found to produce the Master Antioxidant molecule called glutathione. Every day, immune system cells are exposed to common free radicals. These hard-working cells utilize glutathione for their ongoing cellular maintenance and upkeep. Glutathione is imperative for immune health.*

A. Reg´Activ® DETOX & LIVER HEALTH™ provides a unique probiotic strain (Lactobacillus fermentum ME-3) that actually produces the Master Antioxidant molecule called glutathione. It is well established that glutathione is required for and regulates virtually all detoxification processes in the body. Every cell in the human body utilizes glutathione for ongoing maintenance and normal detox activities, but the highest concentrations are found in the liver.*

This is because of the liver’s constant handling of day-to-day toxins and associated free radical activity. Of all human body cells, liver cells have the highest demand for glutathione. Healthy glutathione levels are vital for normal liver function.*

Reg´Activ® DETOX & LIVER HEALTH™ provides the glutathione-producing probiotic Lactobacillus fermentum ME-3 along with:

• L-selenothionine (easy-to-digest selenium) – Promotes healthy levels of the enzyme glutathione peroxidase, which supports liver tissue health*

A. For all products in the Reg´Activ® line, take 2 capsules daily, 30 minutes before a meal or as directed by a health care professional. For optimal effects, maintain a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle.

A. The robust probiotic used in Reg´Activ® does not need to be refrigerated. Simply keep your Reg´Activ® products in a cool dry place.

A. Both Reg´Activ® and Dr. Ohhira’s Probiotics® contain a probiotic component. However, the strains utilized by these two product lines are radically different and work on separate body systems.

Dr. Ohhira’s Probiotics® Original and Pro Formulas are still the best approach to addressing complex digestive wellness goals and immune health goals connected to gut health. Meanwhile, Reg´Activ® products provide a probiotic strain that produces glutathione—which affects immune health, but also has implications for cardio health and liver function.*

Taking both products can be highly synergetic for some individuals. But all people should talk to a health care provider before making additions or changes to their supplement protocol. Some mild digestive discomfort can occur when taking multiple probiotic products. Your health care provider can advise you on dosages and timing when you take each product.*

A. Allergies to Reg´Activ®’s ingredients are incredibly rare, but if you have been diagnosed with an allergy or sensitivity to one of the ingredients, do not take the product. Speak with your primary health care provider if you have any questions about ingredient allergy or sensitivity.

A. No, Reg´Activ® products are not known to interact with any medications. However, all patients should speak with their primary health care providers before adding supplements to an existing prescription medication protocol.

A. Glutathione is especially valuable for children with specific detox and immune health goals. However, the current product line provides dosage recommendations that are designed for adults, ages 18 and older. Please speak with your primary health care provider about appropriate dosage and administration for children.

A. The unique probiotic strain in Reg´Activ® products (Lactobacillus fermentum ME-3) is capable of producing antioxidant glutathione from within the human body. ME-3 is also able to recycle or regenerate spent (oxidized) glutathione back to its active (reduced) antioxidant state. ME-3’s natural activities help to recycle or reactivate other spent antioxidants such as: vitamin C, vitamin E, coenzyme Q10, and lipoic acid.*

As another side benefit, ME-3 synthesizes a very important intracellular antioxidant called manganese superoxide dismutase (Mn-SOD). A. Lactobacillus fermentum ME-3 was isolated from the intestinal tract of a healthy one-year old child in 1995. It was the discovery of award-winning microbiologist Marika Mikelsaar, MD, PhD and her team of research scientists at the University of Tartu, Estonia.

Ongoing research revealed that ME-3 could support healthy glutathione levels via three different mechanisms. In addition to synthesizing glutathione, the bacteria can also extract it from the surrounding environment and recycle spent (oxidized) glutathione back to its active (reduced) form. Consequently, ME-3 is being called a “Complete Glutathione System”. There is no other known probiotic strain or supplement that provides this 3-prong glutathione effect.*
